Resilience strategy

A research project undertaken to prepare a proposal in order to make the city of Addis Ababa part of the “100 Resilient Cities” framework, funded by the Rockefeller foundation. The project included: studying documents in order to extract information relevant to the proposal, short listing possible “stresses” and “shocks” of the city, synthesizing inputs gathered from secondary data, interviews, and a workshop. As a result of the proposal Addis Ababa was selected and is now part of the 100 Resilient Cities network. The objective is to develop city wide resilience strategy that would help the city in copying with possible shocks and stresses.

Green parks

Preparation of design program for the development of green parks for the city of Addis Ababa that would contribute to its wider strategy of resilience copying with climate change, 2017. The project included: reviewing existing literature on green parks specific to Addis Ababa holding a consultative workshop and synthesizing inputs gathered from secondary data and the workshop.
