Housing and Urban Intensification
Member of The Addis Ababa Urban Age Task Force (2019 - 2021) launched to support the capital city of Addis Ababa  to advance its strategic development agenda, in partnership with the Addis Ababa City Plan  and Development Commission (AACPDC), the LSE Cities at the London School of Economics and Political Science, the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft, and GIZ. Focus on Housing and Urban Intensification.

Local Project coordinator, in collaboration with TU Delft of the Netherlands, for a research project entitled Addis Ababa Living Lab: Creating Resilient Dwelling Clusters for Urban Resettlement in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Ethiopia Urban Land Supply and Affordable Housing Study
Local housing expert for the research project entitled: “Ethiopia Urban Land Supply and Affordable Housing Study” funded by the World Bank, 2017 - 2019. The study of the housing component of the research project includes: household survey, key informant interviews and focus groups, production of background/workshop papers and reports.
Stocktaking of the Housing Sector in Sub-Saharan Africa
Local housing expert for the research project entitled: “Stocktaking of the Housing Sector in Sub-Saharan Africa”, funded by the World Bank, 2014. The research project included studying the “housing ecosystem” for Ethiopia using available and collected data, assessing the specific housing challenges of Ethiopia, conducting necessary interviews/surveys, engaging with key stakeholders and writing country case report.
